Features of Presentation Package

Microsoft PowerPoint as an example of presentation package has some special features, which makes it to be different from other Microsoft products such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft word, Micro soft Access and Microsoft Excel.

CREATION OF SLIDES

Each page of a PowerPoint called a slide. The default orientation of the slide is in Landscape Layout, which means is 11” wide by  “tall. On your slide you can present information in different ways. You can type in text using text boxes, insert images or sounds, and create charts, graphs or making text columns. Each element in the slide is independent and can be modified independently from object in a slide.

STEPS INVOLVED IN INSERTION OF PICTURES

1.       First create a new slide, where you can insert picture

2.       From the menu bar, click on the insert and then on the picture you want.

3.       Select the types of picture you want to insert

INSERTION OF VIDEO and AUDIO

1.       Create the slide where you want to insert video and audio

2.       From the menu bar, click on insert and move your mouse to Video and audio

ANIMATION

In your presentations, you may want to use special effects to illustrate a point or capture your audience. This can be done by inserting an animation or a movie. It can be in GIF file that moves when you run the file

1.       From menu bar select Animation

You can as well use slide Transition at this joint. You can decide on a speed and duration of the transition. Finally you can decide upon what sort of action causes the transition during the slide show; a mouse click or the passing of a certain time.

SLIDE SHIOW

A slide show is a full screen display of each page in a presentation. Slide show can be used as a presentation medium or as stand-alone demo at trade fair.

CREATION OF GRAPHICS

PowerPoint allows you to create variety of shapes like drawing a line or other objects like Rectangle, oval, Auto shapes etc.

Drawing a line is similar to drawing shapes, the difference is that lines are not enclosed objects; you have a beginning and end point.

1.       Open the slide on which you want to draw a line or draw Autoshapes

2.       Select insert option and select shapes or Autoshapes option

3.       Pick either a line to draw a line or any other shape desired.
